Gallov Péter’s first solo show at Longtermhandstand is CHAM-CHAM YUM-YUM. The exhibition offers insight into a consistently developed artistic practice in which drawing plays a central role, accompanied by loose ink works and an installation. For Gallov, drawing is not a space of spontaneity or chance, but a tool of self-control and inner order. His works treat drawing as an autonomous medium rather than a preparatory phase: each line belongs to a carefully constructed visual system governed by discipline, precision, and long-term attention. One of the main inspirations behind the new works is the time spent in Lovasberény, where the meditative observation of the surrounding environment led to the emergence of new figures and compositions. The exhibition reveals both the artist’s closed, rigorously structured visual world and its subtle shifts toward a slower, more contemplative mode of perception.
